And the season itself heralds so much promise of fun, with Halloween and Thanksgiving on the horizon.

Start training together for a 5 km run- bonus points if you can find a Fall themed one. Fall is my favorite running season, as the temperature is just right to make it pleasant and invigorating as opposed to heart-attack inducing. It will also help keep you fit and healthy as the winter months approach
Watch the snow geese as they migrate from the South. A top spot for this includes Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge – between Kansas City and Omaha
Go out for pumpkin spice latte
Visit a pumpkin patch (then go back and try number 3 from Fall date ideas at home)

Create art from pressing fall leaves. You’ll need leaves, an ironing board and iron, two tea towels, wax paper, and a glass frame suitable for pressed flowers / leaves (such as this one). Select thin leaves – preferably ones you have gathered when walking together. Then:
1. put a tea towel on your ironing board
2. place your leaves between two sheets of wax paper
3. place another tea towel on top
4. iron over the leaves until the paper starts to seal
5. iron for five seconds over each leaf
6. carefully cut around the leaf and arrange in your frame.
