Playing games is one of my top picks of fun activities for couples at home. These St Patrick’s Day games for adults can be easily played with two people.
Gold coin toss
This game works best when you have a prize riding on the outcome. I suggest something Irish themed like these St Patrick’s Day novelties.
Place a container (bonus points if you use a hat like this one) the ground at an agreed upon distance from where you are both sitting or standing.
Take turns throwing these chocolate gold coins into the hat.
Winner is the one who gets the most coins in!
Lucky flip card game
Channeling the luck of the Irish with this game. At 25 minutes to play, it’s perfect if you’re wanting time to do all the things.
Much like Monopoly, though this game has you buying Ireland's treasures - everything from the potato to Irish pubs -rather than streets. On the back of all the deeds you'll find information on that aspect of Irish culture too!

Watching a movie is a low effort, fun way to have a St Patrick’s Day date.
If you have any snacks left over, you may want to take them to the couch, where you can settle into watching any one of these classic films.
This 1989 biopic chronicles the life of Christy Brown who was born with cerebral palsy and can only control his left foot.
This 1992 film is worth it alone to see Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman star in the second of three movies where they played a married couple while being one in real life.
You could also check out The Irishman (2019). While this film has no connection to Ireland per se other than the main character is of Irish descent. But it's an intense film all about a Mafia hitman you are sure to enjoy.

The 1991 tale of the rise and fall of an Irish band. A great hit, though I confess "Mustang Sally" always makes me want to leave the room.
This 1996 film is a gritty, hard-hitting look of the IRA in the 1920s and their battle against the United Kingdom which although ends in victory, then denigrates into civil war.
This disturbing tale of life for three "fallen" Irish girls in the 1960s will have you grateful for your freedom.
