You can have it in your belly in just 10 minutes.

However you're making it as part of a romantic date night, make it first, then pop on one of those movies I mentioned before, or go out for a stroll, and then come back to enjoy it an hour or two later after the mousse has set.

Mini oreo cheesecakes for two

If you want a treat for the eyes as well as one for the tastebuds, then these mini-oreo cheesecakes are perfect.

That oreo crumb base makes me drool just looking at it!

It's like a triple dip of oreos- in the base, in the filling and on the top.

These cheesecakes require some special equipment and a decent amount of time to prepare, so consider this the next level up from the previous recipe.

Number of ingredients required: 5

Easy classic dessert recipes for two

I know it's hard to believe, but not everyone loves chocolate.

If you're looking for a easy date night desserts which are more classic than chocolate, check out these options with banoffee pie, creme brulee and tiramisu.

Homemade English banoffee pie

Banoffee pie is a classic dish. But in case you are intimidated by the name, I can assure you, you don't need to be, because this version of banoffee pie is ridiculously simple.

With caramel and bananas, it's a perfect contrast to the chocolate deliciousness above, although there IS chocolate sprinkled on the top if you just can't resist.

Just be warned: you need to cool the base for 30 minutes after baking and then chill the pie for three hours to prevent it becoming a big mess.

This is a date night dessert best made before the main event.

Number of ingredients required: 8

Time to make: 40 minutes PLUS 30 minutes crust cool time and 3 hours chill time

Easy tiramisu trifle

For years I harbored resentment against the tiramisu after an early encounter with my ex-mother in law.

On one of our first meetings, she mentioned that we would have tiramisu for dessert and I naively asked what this strange concoction was.

She replied with a haughty, "Everybody knows what tiramisu is."

Well clearly I didn't or I would have asked.

That kind of set of tone for our whole relationship.

I eventually overcame my dislike of tiramisu by proxy and I can recommend this simple take on the dish.

Number of ingredients required: 8

Time to make: 20 minutes

The best creme brulee recipe

However unlike tiramisu, creme brulee has always been a personal top choice - more than that really, as it is my favorite dessert.

In fact, I just tested my husband by asking him what my fave was and luckily he was able to answer correctly.

This creme brulee has the addition of raspberries which just makes it even more delicious.

Number of ingredients required: 6

Time to make: 5 hours and 15 minutes by the time it sets
